Job Summary:
Crisis Response Team Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Crisis Response Team. This position has administrative and clinical functions within the Crisis Response Team to effectively organize the Team's workload.

Essential Requirements:
Answer crisis line telephones.
Facilitate shift briefings to next shift, as needed.
Organize teams workload for shift, as needed.
Review and provide guidance for crisis assessments.
Review Crisis Counselors' clinical documentation/charting.
Maintain CRT Staff & Baker Act On-call Schedule.
Review CRT payroll.
Coordinates client transfer process through review of documentation, insurance verification, and liaison between CSU and other referring organizations
Plan staff meeting agenda.
Conduct crisis assessments/interventions, including co-existing disorders.
Conduct follow-up assessments/contacts
Maintain call logbook, contact log and other documentation for statistical and outcome purposes as necessary.
Concisely and correctly complete clinical documentation and related paperwork in a timely and professional manner.
Contact companies to get managed care authorizations.
Review Baker Act certificates that come to the CSU.
Provide on-call supervision and/or crisis services as required.
Assist with community presentations as needed.
Monitor equipment needs and distribution during shift; i.e.; cell phones
Facilitate hiring process for vacant CRT positions.
Provide and/or coordinate on-the-job training and professional enhancement training for new and current employees
Coordinate with the Transportation Department to maintain the CRT vehicles in good working order.
Act as liaison with other PRC programs and other service providers within the community at large.
Provide regular supervision to CRT Counselors for performance appraisal and training/development needs
Ability to arrive to work and ready to work on time.

Qualifications:
Education:
Masters degree in Human Services or related area preferred
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years experience working in mental health with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Certifications:
Florida Licensure preferred.
Training:
Maintenance of licensure requirements
Must complete the following:
On-line Baker Act (Florida Statute on involuntary commitment)
Aggression Control Technique
Security Awareness training
First Aid
CPR
12 hours of assigned Netsmart training
Knowledge and Skills:
Basic crisis assessment and action planning skills
Knowledge of counselor ethics
Ability to work in a professional and ethical manner
Knowledge of Florida Statute Chapter 394 and Florida Administrative Codes 65E-5 and 65E-12
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong leadership ability
Time management skills
Knowledge of various crisis intervention techniques and best practices in emergency mental health
